Ebbetts Pass Lodges
A number of wonderful lodges are found along the Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway from Murphys up to Bear Valley.
Bear Valley Lodge
The Bear Valley Lodge has 53 guest rooms, shopping, lounges, restaurants, and year-round recreation. Located in the village of Bear Valley, it is close to Bear Valley Mountain skiing, Lake Alpine, and other Ebbetts Pass attractions.

Tamarack Lodge
Tamarack Lodge is located along Highway 4, only a few miles west of Bear Valley. It is now under new ownership and management. It is currently undergoing renovations, but is still open for those who would like to book accommodations. Besides the main lodge, accommodations are also found in the adjacent Chalet and Barn Condo. Amenities at the lodge include WiFi, satellite TV. Tamarack Lodge is popular with families and small groups. In the winter there is a private sledding hill nearby.

Lake Alpine Lodge
The Lake Alpine Lodge offers accommodations, a store, restaurant, laundromat, coin operated showers, and boat rentals. The rustic main building is a popular hangout for visitors after a day of fishing or hiking.

Cabins: Housekeeping cabins include kitchens, linens, BBQs. Cabins range from studios (some with limited cooking facilities) to 3-bedrooms, which sleep up to 10. Rates: $$ - $$$
Tent Cabins: Tent cabins are set on redwood platforms and have four twin beds. Outside are a picnic table and fire pit. They have no heating and linens are not supplied. Restrooms and coin operated showers are located nearby.

Murphys Historic Hotel

Dorrington Hotel
The Dorrington Hotel was built in 1852. The 3000-square-foot hotel is currently being offered as a rental. Visitors can rent the entire hotel or a couple of rooms. There is a 2-night minimum. The hotel has five rooms decorated with antique furniture and brass beds. The rooms share two large baths. The facility has a fireplace, living room, WiFi, kitchen, dining area, and sleeping for up to 10.
Behind the hotel is a cottage which overlooks a 2-acre meadow. The cottage can be rented separately from the hotel. The cottage sleeps up to 2 and features a kitchenette, a gas fireplace, private bath, and WiFi.
